The 6 Ways To Inspire And Motivate Top Performance

According to a study published in Forbes, most leaders who are inspiring and motivating top performance tend to use one or two of these six ways frequently. Each of the first four traits were used more than 20% of the time as a primary or secondary approach; and the last two are used far less frequently. Here they are:

1.  Visionary—providing a clear picture of the future and being

     able to communicate that to the team.

2.  Enhancing—creating positive one-on-one relationships 

     along with team relationships by being a great listener and 

     connecting emotionally with people.

3.  Driver—displaying a focused pursuit to make the numbers    

     and  complete things on time and generally being accountable   

     for personal and group performance.

4.  Principled—providing a powerful role model of doing the

     right things in the right way.

5.  Enthusiast—exuding passion and energy about the 

     organization, its goals and the work itself.

6.  Expert—providing a strong technical direction that comes 

     from deep expertise.

Nothing changes without leadership because a leader is the one who initiates changes. That’s why the world needs you, with your specific gifts, to lead and share your light with those around you.


I’m convinced that every human in the world was born to solve some problems. You are carrying something that your generation needs.


Every human has a place for his or her gift in the world. There is a place for your gift. If you find your gift, you will find your place. If you find your place, you will find your leadership.


King Solomon said, “A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.”   Prov. 18:16

What is your Gift?

·         It is your natural talent or special ability.

·         The gift is in us.

·         It is not something we learn.

·         It is something God gave us.

·         It is something that we need to discover and then stir up.

When you operate in your natural gift, you’re an inspiration to other people. When you are in your gift, you are inspiring and when you inspire others, you influence them. And when you influence them, you have the ability to lead them.

There are Two (2) Types of Gifts:

1. Gifts we are born with to fulfill a specific purpose on earth for the Kingdom.

2. Additional Gifts we are given when we receive the Spirit to promote the Kingdom culture on earth.

The Bible says, “For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.”  Rom. 11:29

Why do you need to serve your gift to the world?

·         Because your gift is the key to your success.

·         Because other people needs your gift and will benefit from it.

·         Because the cemetery will get your gift if you don’t serve it.

·         Because your gift glorifies God when you serve it.

Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Matt. 5:16


Furthermore, Jesus said in prayer to His Father before He was crucified, “I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.” Jn. 17:4

So serve your gifts to the world before you get to the cemetery. Do not die without accomplishing your dreams. Keep working, get busy, keep serving your gift to the world. The better you serve the greater you become.

How do you effectively serve your gift to the world?

1. By discovering your gift

 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”  1Cor.2:12 NKJV

2. By stirring up your gift

 “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you.” 2Tim.1:6

How do you stir up your gift? 

a.  By developing your gift

b.    By refining your gift

c.    Then serve it to the world.

So if you want to be a GREAT LEADER, find your gift and serve it to the world.
